I spent waaaaaaaaaaay too much time trying to come up with a clever name, and wouldn't you know it, it had already been taken, even though my name was an obscure character from a very obscure movie. So, I picked an even more obscure phrase from this almost unknown movie, and this time, I lucked out. So, we shall see how things progress from here.

ok, I give....what is the movie? All I can think of is "bring out yer dead"...." I'm not dead yet"....and where is your profile...we demand profiles.....
It will be fun to find out which movie!
Regarding the movie: well, first of all, you have to be a fan, or at least know about, the TV series, Mystery Science Theater 3000. If you don't, the premise is: this man, and his two robot pals are forced to watch really bad movies, and as they watch, they make wisecracks. So, the movie they were watching is The Final Sacrifice. It's a Canadian movie, and one of their remarks, (as a character fixes his truck's motor, and flames shoot out), is--in a Canadian accent---"Okay, bring out the Brats!" (bratwursts) Did I answer this, or confuse you even more???

Hi John, good to see you here! When I initially saw the title of your blog, I took the last word as having a short "a" sound. I assumed it was the blog of a very disgruntled children's librarian, haha! Glad to see that's not the case.

I think the name was very creative, even if I've never seen the series :) I especially like the last part of your "about me" section. I'm in the same boat! Have fun blogging!!
Thing 2:
I would say my strength is Habit 7. I really love to help others. And, if I know something, and you don't, I am more than willing to show you or teach you in a way that you can do this as well as I, and, perhaps, pass on your expertise to someone else. I guess this goes back to my (short) teaching career. I would say this is my greatest satisfaction as a librarian.
My weakness is probably Habit 4. I have this built-in mindset of "oh, my, I'll never be able to learn this, or grasp this concept", and 9 times out of 10 I am proven wrong. With a track record like this, you would think I would believe in myself more, but I almost always start out with, "oh, no!", instead of, "oh, yeah!" I waste too much time acting like that.
